When I saw this idea for a Father’s Day celebration I fell in love! My husband is a huge movie fan and I never thought to put the two together. This party was created by Michelle from Michelle’s Party Plan It and we are so happy to share it with our followers! Check out these easy and so perfect ideas for your very own Father’s Day Movie Night!

Michelle set up two areas for the party, one with Movie Posters and the other a Movie Lobby Snack Bar.

For the Movie poster section, she printed several of dad’s favorite movie posters as a backdrop. For food, she dressed up some store bought cupcakes to look like popcorn buckets and then found movie reels that worked perfectly as cupcake holders! She added multiple film strips to the cupcake holders with photos of dad to personalize the party even more. In addition, she printed mini movie posters to use are cupcake parfait toppers! For the snack table, she made Chocolate Mint Candy Tickets with a ticket candy mold she found on Amazon.com. An entertainment point for this party was tying in fun movie titles, quotes, and characters to items at the snack bar. She served “Nacho Libre” Nachoooos!, “Goodfella’s” Pizza and “Major League” Hot Dogs. They also had “Luigi’s Spare Tires, “You made me bleed my own blood” Dodgeballs and “Fast Five” Tire Tread along with “Children of the Kettle Corn”. To drink we had “Sucker Punch”, “El Mariachi’s (From Desperado) Coronas and “Captain Jack’s” Rum and Coke.

Michelle created the awning with vinyl and the backdrop with party streamers. The hot dog machine was a huge hit as well! The movie theater style popcorn maker added the perfect ambiance to the “Theater Lobby”. The snack bar was stocked with all of my husbands favorite treats (except the black licorice, that is one of my favorites). They also had some AMAZING cookies by Casey’s Confections! Cookies that look like other goodies are always fun!

As you can see, this could be a wonderful celebration for a WONDERFUL Husband and Father!
