Having a dog is more than just having a pet; it is literally like having an extra family member. I love when my furry, tail wagging and energetic pup, Sebastian, greets me and my family so happily after a long day of work! Dogs are known to be loyal and great companions, so showing them a little appreciation with a belly rub, treat, trip to the groomers or fun at the dog park makes their day. Another paws-itively fun way to celebrate your pup is with a pajama paw-ty!

Table Set Up
For my dog’s first birthday, I threw a huge dog party and invited all of Sebastian’s canine friends and their owners over for food and fun. Since birthdays only come around once a year, a pajama paw-ty is a great way for you and your family to celebrate your dog any day, in the comforts of your home. What is a pajama paw-ty exactly you ask? It’s quite simple, you and your family can dress in pajamas and enjoy snacks and a movie or tv show, while giving your dog an abundance of attention, belly rubs and dog treats. A pajama paw-ty is not only a great little surprise for your dog, but most kids immediately get excited when they hear the word party, so this makes the whole family happy.
My family and I recently had a pajama paw-ty, and to make it extra fun for my kids too, I went with a Paw Patrol theme. To ensure your night of fun goes over well, here’s a list of the things you’ll need, which can all be found at Target:
Supplies:
Banner
Paw Patrol Buckets
Paw Patrol Toys
Dog Toys
Clear Jars
Snack Cups
Chocolate Covered Pretzels “Paw Prints”
Animal Crackers
Scooby Snacks
Kids’ Dog Themed Pajamas
Dog Pajamas or Bandana
Once you’ve gathered all your supplies, set-up of your pajama paw-ty station will include filling your snack jars and cups, assembling your banner, and setting out pajamas and toys. For the snack jars, I suggest hot gluing a Paw Patrol toy to the top of each lid, so that it can be a keepsake for your dog and kids. Also, you can label the kids only and dog only snack jars. Once your paw-ty station is all set-up, have your kids and dog get ready for a fun time! Our pajama paw-ty lasted 45 minutes, and it was a great way to show my dog some extra appreciation, and allowed my kids to get some fun in right before bedtime.
I hope your paw-ty animal has a tale-wagging good time!
