Attention Sizzix crafters! Michelle here from Michelle’s Party Plan-It with an easy way to create Pirate Treats with store bought milk boxes! Being a DIY crafter and party planner, i.e. party supply hoarder, I always try to snatch treat boxes and bags whenever I find them on clearance. I found these adorable black and white stripe milk cartons at Michaels for 80% off! They included cute Halloween labels, but I thought they’d be cuter for a Pirate party!
Items Needed:
Milk carton treat boxes
Sizzix Movers & Shapers Mini Bat & Skull Set
Sizzix Thinlits Die Set – Embossed Gift Tags
Black,Red and white cardstock
Black Ink Pad
Adhesive
Starting with the Movers & Shapers Skull die and Base Tray, create a “sandwich”. The “sandwich” consists of, 1 cutting pad, base tray, skull die, white cardstock then another cutting pad. Next pass the “sandwich” through the Big Shot.
Next, to add dimension, rub the edges of the skull die cut with the black ink pad.
Next, to create the label diecut for the skull, make a “sandwich” with the magnetic platform, cutting pad, red cardstock, thinlit and a second cutting pad and pass it through the big shot.
Then cut a strip of black cardstock to wrap around the milk carton and adhere skull and label. Fill the milk carton with gumballs or treats and you have easy pirate themed treat boxes for your next Pirate Party! Arrrn’t they the cutest?
