Long before we started making Christmas pajamas for families all over the world, we had a family tradition of new PJs every year for Christmas with our own family. There was one special year where all of the grand kids matched with their appliquéd PJs and matching night caps.
Making memories with your family doesn’t have to mean large amounts of money. You can do something as simple as making cookies. Just take the time to make the holidays something they will remember. You don’t have to do it all, but make up your mind to do something. You will not be a perfect parent. But perhaps when they are grown and old enough to be grateful they will remember that you made efforts to make things special for them.
Our favorite tradition includes cookies, going to Grandma’s and making gingerbread houses, then we go to the candlelight service at church. To top off our Christmas Eve, we come home to new PJs and old Christmas movies. We started this tradition years ago because our kids would beg to open a package on Christmas Eve. So we would let them open their new PJs.
This year will be even more special since we have added a new member to our family! Our son got married less than a month ago and this will be our first Christmas Eve together. We are so excited about her becoming a part of our family and we can’t wait to introduce her to our favorite traditions.
