Beach Picnic Party
The sun is shining and everyone is heading down to the beach! I’d spend all summer on the beach if I could. I love playing in the sand, listening to the waves and watching the boats go by. Planning a little picnic at the beach is a great way to enjoy your summer vacation.
For your beach party, try using a plastic tablecloth as a “blanket” to sit on in the sand. You can use tent pegs on all four corners to keep it from blowing away.
If you’ll be sitting out in the sun all day, you want to make sure you have coolers to keep your food nice and cold. Unfortunately, ice cream doesn’t always travel well in a cooler and may start melting before snack time. Here’s a great alternative – Sundae Cupcakes! These are so easy – simply top store-bought cupcakes with ice cream fudge and sprinkles then serve them in paper bowls or waffle bowls. Don’t forget spoons for this messy treat!
Cake pops are another treat that all ages enjoy. There are so many fun ideas for beach-themed cupcakes like suns, flip flops, fish, crabs and more.
It’s no secret that I love sugar but a picnic can’t all be sweets, right? For a quick and easy beach-themed snack, you could serve fish & chips! Potato chips and goldfish crackers in a variety of different flavors could be served in paper favor bags.
Worried about your picnic blowing away at the beach? Where I live, it’s windy most days plus we’ve recently had some flooding so I had to improvise a little bit to do a Beach Tailgate Party. All the fun of a beach picnic without the sand in your shorts.
The adorable food & drink labels are by Forever Your Prints and are available for purchase in their shop.
For your beach picnic, don’t forget sand toys, sun protection, towels, extra bottles of water and your camera. You can also visit the special Beach Party category on Moms & Munchkins for even more fun ideas!
