This year, I hope Easter is EGGstra special for you and your little ones! When I was growing up, I always looked forward to wearing a pretty Easter dress to church and eating sweets from my Easter baskets. Now that I have little ones of my own, it’s even more enjoyable to witness their excitement during holidays and special celebrations.
To help bring the sunshine of spring and joy of Easter to your home, today I’m sharing tips to create a family-friendly Easter tablescape. Whether you plan to host an Easter egg hunt for kids or Easter Sunday dinner with family, these tips are sure to have your home looking EGGstra festive!
When deciding on my dining room table décor (shown above), I had three things in mind…bunnies, burlap and the beauty of spring. To add more attention grabbing aspects for the kids, it was a no brainer to include candy and Easter eggs. Thanks to a quick trip to Michaels and Target and using items I had around the house, I was able to get everything I needed without overspending. To create a similar tablescape for your home, here is what you’ll need:
Table Runner (purchased last year from Marshall’s)
Napkins Plush and/or Standing Bunnies (Michaels and re-use bunnies you have at home)
Bunny Basket (Michaels)
Burlap Napkin Rings (Michaels)
Burlap and Egg Tree (Target)
Plastic Easter Eggs (Target)
Easter Basket Grass (Target)
Easter Stickers Jelly Beans (Target)
Candy Bracelets (Party City)
1) Set table runner, followed by chargers and napkins with napkin rings at each place setting. I also placed a candy bracelet around each napkin ring.
2) Fill Easter basket with grass and Easter eggs with jellybeans. Place eggs inside your Easter basket. I also adorned Easter stickers to the outside of the eggs.
3) To create the jellybean tree, I pressed jellybeans onto the bare stems of the burlap and egg tree. Be sure not to apply too much pressure. Please note, the tree should serve as décor, so have the kids eat jellybeans out of the eggs instead
I hope you have a Happy Easter!
