Finding the perfect gift for Father’s Day can be a challenge. It’s hard to find a personal gift, so we often reach for utilitarian things like tools, home improvement gift cards, and the like. This Father’s Day we have put together a simple, affordable, and personal gift that will bring the family together around the table to celebrate Dad.
Gifts in jars are one of my favorite things to give or receive, and this one is no exception. We found a simple and delicious BBQ rub recipe from the folks at The Country Chic Cottage. You probably have most of the ingredients in your pantry already – just mix them together, pour them into a mason jar, and add our adorable (and did I mention FREE?) Father’s Day gift tags.
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup paprika
- 1 tbsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp sea salt
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp ground mustard
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. Add to jars for storage or store in the freezer. Rub on all types of meats before grilling for added flavor.
Father’s Day is Sunday, June 19th. We hope you all have a great day with the fathers and father figures in your lives! Check out the full post from our friends at The Country Chic Cottage for a link to a printable BBQ Rub label, perfect for the lid of your mason jars. Enjoy!
