Looking for something fun to do with the kids? This made the perfect party activity for our Bubble Party and would be just plain fun any day of the week. It’s so easy and you probably already have everything you need!
Mix together:
10 cups of water
1 cup dish soap (Dawn works well)
*optional, but use for best results – Add 1/4 cup Glycerin (found in the pharmacy section of Whole Foods or New Seasons) or Corn Syrup
Let the solution sit (covered so it stays clean) overnight, it gets better the longer it sits!
Use a hula hoop to make giant bubbles around the kids or just make giant bubbles! We found a tennis racket made a fun bubble toy as well!
What items around the house have you found to make great bubble wands? We want to know, comment below!
This sounds like a really fun activity! We have used tennis rackets as bubble wands. They make really cool clumps of bubbles that are easy to handle. Thanks for posting! I’m straying gaint bubbles today.
This was so easy and such a big hit at the party!! I did have to multiply the recipe times 8 in order to be enough bubbles for the small pool, but was simple to do! Definitely planning on using this again!
That is fantastic Heather! So glad you had fun. This is by far one of our favorite party themes, and most popular!
I did not have the same kind of luck with this recipe as others did. I used corn syrup, since I couldn’t find glycerin. Followed instructions to a tee. It didn’t even work very well to make small bubbles, so I’m not sure what went wrong. Was pretty bummed.
